Today's Research Tomorrow's Treatment
The Yorkshire Cancer Research Network (YCRN) is a real network of staff employed by the extra resource given to the NHS specifically to support Cancer research. These staff are employed to complement the existing research staff throughout the Yorkshire Network.
The YCRN will support high quality cancer trials to improve the speed, quality and integration of research within the Yorkshire Cancer Network, ultimately resulting in improved patient care. Awareness of research will be raised amongst service users and health care professionals and the YCRN will facilitate service user involvement in generating new research ideas and developing these projects.
The YCRN provides many services within the network all designed to bring together relevant staff and services to support the recruitment of patients into clinical trials.
The YCRN have just launched this new website which brings improved functionality for example the discussion forum and usability in that it now conforms to web standards in accessibility for service users with disabilities.
The first thing we'd like you to do is register via the link in the bar at the top so you have the chance to participate in these discussions. The second is give feedback on the design, usability and functionality of the new site.
We are also aiming to give service users and professionals the chance to register for courses online by the one-click method within the near future. But remember, you must register first!
