Clinical Trial Information

The Yorkshire Cancer Research Network will support high
quality
cancer trials to improve the speed, quality and
integration of research within the Yorkshire Cancer
Network, ultimately resulting in improved patient care.
Recruitment of patients into cancer trials will be promoted
in line with the NCRN Development Plan.

Awareness of research will be raised amongst service
users and health care professionals and we/the YCRN will
facilitate service user involvement in generating new
research ideas and developing these projects.

The YCRN (Yorkshire Cancer Research Network) is a real network of staff employed by the extra resource given to the NHS specifically to support Cancer research. These staff are employed to complement the existing research staff throughout the network.

The YCRN provides many services within the network all designed to bring together relevant staff and the disparate services and support activity.

An article by CHAIN (Contact, Help, Advice and Information Network), an online network for people working in health and social care, is available and provides links to useful articles on clinical trials.

For any further information on the YCRN please contact:
